Stapleford Village Weekend | No-Drone Policy
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees at the Stapleford Weekend, held at the Stapleford Recreation Ground, the operation of drones or any unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is strictly prohibited during the event, particularly due to a scheduled RAF flypast.
Please adhere to the following policy to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
-
Complete Drone Prohibition
No drones or UAVs may be flown over or near the Stapleford Recreation Ground, including the Jubilee Pavilion and surrounding areas, at any time during the Stapleford Weekend. This restriction is critical to avoid interference with the RAF flypast, which poses significant safety risks due to low-flying aircraft, as well as for public safety during the event. There will be 'NO DRONE' signs erected around the recreation ground. -
Safety and Legal Compliance
Operating drones in the vicinity of an RAF flypast violates Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, including those governing airspace safety and restricted zones around aircraft. Unauthorised drone use could endanger attendees, performers, and RAF personnel, as well as disrupt the event. -
Enforcement and Consequences
Violators will be asked to cease immediately and may face removal from the event, and potential reporting to the CAA for further action. -
Reporting Drone Activity
If you observe a drone operating over the recreation ground, please report it to a committee member immediately or contact us at staplefordweekend@gmail.com. Your vigilance helps keep our event safe. -
Attendee Responsibility
It is your responsibility to comply with this policy. By attending the Stapleford Weekend, you agree not to operate drones or encourage others to do so. We appreciate your cooperation in prioritising safety and respecting this special event.
For any questions about this policy, please contact the Stapleford Weekend Committee at staplefordweekend@gmail.com/ Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and memorable experience for all!
